Mach has introduced a commercial autonomous mowing solution for independent power producers and owners of utility-scale solar assets. The system is designed to address vegetation management, a recurring operation and maintenance cost for ground-mounted photovoltaic installations.

Managing grass beneath and between panel rows often requires labor-intensive scheduling across large and remote sites. Mach’s approach integrates driverless capabilities directly into commercial mowing equipment through partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

As a Tier-1 supplier, Mach integrates its technology with existing drive-by-wire commercial platforms. The company says this can help equipment manufacturers avoid lengthy in-house robotics development while giving solar operators access to dealer-supported machinery.

The platform combines Mach Perception, RTK-GNSS and the company’s RadX phased-array radar for navigation in conditions including dust, tall grass and sun glare. It is also designed to detect and avoid infrastructure such as tracker posts, guy wires, inverter pads and hanging harnesses.

Mach Ops provides centralized fleet orchestration, allowing one remote operator to dispatch, monitor and geofence multiple machines across distributed portfolios. Maintenance is supported through existing commercial equipment platforms and dealer networks, including service for mechanical components, blades and hydraulics.

Mach plans to demonstrate the autonomous solar mowing platform at RE+ 26, scheduled for November 16–19, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. The company will exhibit in the West Hall at Booth W16676.
