Jackery has launched the Explorer 100D, its smallest portable power station to date. The compact model combines a 96 Wh capacity, equivalent to 30,000 mAh, with a maximum output of 158 W, providing enough power for devices such as laptops, phones, tablets and small accessories.
Measuring 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and weighing 1.87 pounds, the Explorer 100D is approximately the size of a softball. Its capacity places it just below the carry-on battery limit for domestic and international flights. A built-in cloth handle makes it easier to carry, while a shoulder strap can be added for transport.
The front panel includes two 140 W USB-C ports and one 18 W USB-A port. One of the USB-C ports supports both charging the battery and powering another device, while the other ports can continue delivering power during recharging. The station supports AVS, USB Power Delivery 3.1 and PPS charging protocols. Jackery includes a USB-C cable, but not a charger.
The front display shows the battery percentage and input or output power by default. It can also provide information about individual port output, battery health, charge cycles and temperature.
Unlike some larger Jackery models, the Explorer 100D has no cooling fans or vents. Its lithium iron phosphate battery is rated for 3,000 full charge cycles, which Jackery says corresponds to up to eight years of daily use. That rating is also a 50% improvement over the Explorer 100 Plus, the model it replaces.
The battery can accept up to 100 W of direct solar input, allowing it to function as a small solar generator. Solar panels connect through the USB-C charging port, although an adapter may be needed depending on the panel. Jackery says its folding SolarSaga 100 Air can recharge the Explorer 100D in less than two hours. The unit also accepts 12 V or 24 V input from a car, boat or recreational vehicle, as well as up to 140 W from a conventional USB-C charger.
According to testing described in the source, a unit that began with a 30% charge reached full capacity in about an hour when connected to a 140 W USB-C output. The battery could also charge other devices while it was being recharged. In practical use, it powered a Wi-Fi router for a full day while retaining capacity for a phone and tablet, and it was also used with a USB-C laptop, a small fan and a Bluetooth speaker.
Jackery is launching the Explorer 100D as a two-unit bundle priced at $179.99 at selected Costco warehouse locations from the beginning of November 2026. Individual units are scheduled to go on sale at Walmart for $99 on November 15, ahead of the holiday travel season.
